Hemp fiber is cultivated from Cannabis Sativa, specifically industrial hemp. Hemp can be grown very fast, and it can be planted close together requiring less acres of land. Harvesting hemp does not require pesticides, which also helps to prevent soil erosion due to less amount of chemicals needed to grow the plant. Celebrated for its durability and strength compared to cotton, it is also known to be hypo-allergenic and non-irritating to the skin.
