About This Gift Box
For the one who takes bread and coffee seriously - the friend who bakes on
weekends, the host who always has something out of the oven.
The oval terracotta warming stone is hand-pressed in a wooden mould by our
artisan partners and fired until it holds heat. Warm it, set it under the tea
towel in the handwoven basket, and rolls stay warm for about 40 minutes - long
enough for a second cup. The coffee is whole bean, roasted in Brooklyn; the
sourdough starter is for whoever would rather bake the loaf than buy it.
The coffee runs out and the starter gets used up, but the stone and the basket
stay. Most food gifts are gone in a week. This one keeps going.
