Bread Warmer Gift Box With Sourdough - Oval
About This Gift Box
Bread, salt and oil. There is a reason these three turn up together in every
kitchen and always have - they are what you reach for first, and what you are
sorry to run out of.
The oval terracotta warming stone is hand-pressed in a wooden mould by our
artisan partners and fired until it holds heat. Warm it, set it under the tea
towel in the handwoven basket, and a fresh loaf stays warm for about 40
minutes at the table.
The sourdough starter is for whoever would rather bake the bread than buy it.
Sea salt and olive oil for the crust and for the table. A wooden spoon, and
coasters for the cups that come with it.
Which is what makes it work for almost anyone: nobody already has too much
bread, salt or oil. And when those are gone, the stone and the basket stay -
out again next Sunday, and the one after that.
